Tips on how to stay professional in the face of ridiculousness

THE OFFICIAL STORY: This course will review interpersonal communication techniques and tools for facilitating positive employee relations.

THE REAL WORLD TRANSLATION: We will review some fun ways to professionally and successfully handle the bizarre and awkward situations we face.

You know, like: Jen's perfume is bothering Carol. No one cares about Steve's six cats. Sue gets upset when John clears his throat so vigorously in meetings.

Us HR folk often become the mediators of unusual interpersonal issues. Though we may want to ignore them, doing so can allow the situation to blossom into a real problem. This course will dive into methods you can use to nip awkward situations in the bud. (And some techniques on how to keep a straight face.)

Specifically we will go through:

  • The how & why
  • Communication tools
  • Practical approaches
  • Systemic solutions
  • & Application scenarios.

It should be fun. Join me!
